Trap everywhere. So what? How can you and I be trapped? Can you explain it? To catch an animal, we the human beings set a trap. But here traps have been made to grab us. So can you imagine different traps have been made to catch you? How come? Do you know who has made them or who have placed them on your walkways? Please have patience and read the post. I can assure the blog post will answer the questions as far as possible.
Why don’t we start defining a trap? The Cambridge Dictionary defines it as “a device or hole for catching animals or people and preventing their escape.”
Forms of traps
If you go to the college hostel, then you indeed find friends taking drugs regularly. They sometimes may ask you to accompany them. If then you can’t avoid them, later to be sure you will fall into the trap of drug addiction.
Sunday morning, you discovered that the authorities had closed your college canteen. So you can’t take breakfast. What will you do? You will go outside for breakfast. Am I right? Then what will you find there? The shops are making jalebi, different rolls, burgers so on. These fast foods attract you. So you buy some items and finish your breakfast. Has it come to your mind that these fast foods make the trap for you? They don’t make it unless you make a habit.
Similarly, you will find different forms of traps everywhere. They may either be harmful content on the internet, the company of the opposite sex or the type of processed foods.
When you find a trap
“Knowing where the trap is—that’s the first step in evading it.”

If you think of the following questions, you can make out whether it is a trap.
What is your immediate goal?
Does this item help you to reach your goal?
Does it have adverse effects on prolonged use?
As you think about the answers to these questions, so you will know whether it is a trap and where it lies. Then you can either escape it or take it as a challenge.
To overcome such challenges, you need to do these things.
- Consult with your well-wishers. You don’t know they can give the best solution.
- Focus on your strengths, believe in yourself, and stay calm.
- Brainstorm what options available, evaluate each option, and select the best.
- Set a small goal at every step.
- Achieve it.
- Celebrate the small improvement.
So don’t fall into the trap set on your walkway of life journey.
