How did I stir up in my work-life
If you have read my earlier posts, you must have observed that I had retired from my services on May 31, 2020. Yes, I retired in the lockdown period. In spite of the corona crisis, a few of my friends, colleagues, and coworkers arranged a small gathering to bid farewell to me. One of my coworkers pointed out how I had helped him in his hard times. It surprised me how sentimental he became when he spoke about me at length. The quote proved true. People will never forget when you made them feel.
The thing is it happens in every sphere of life, where you interact with people, maybe it in your work-life or in your social life.
More examples from my life
My father-in-law had some good qualities. It’d be an injustice if I don’t mention his beautiful handwriting. The postcards he used to write letters to us are worth-seeing and still kept by us. He helped everyone in and around his village and his community. So people loved him. He was proficient in Bengali. So he used to put down his thoughts in his journal. The local leaders took advantage of his quality. Whenever they need to deliver speeches in public, they used to get their speeches written by him.
Due to prolonged illness, he died on January 24, 2006. When his dead body was being burnt in the bank of the river, thousands of villagers gathered there. They came not only from his own village but also from other villages too. Now the question is why they gathered. It’s because of their feelings that they felt about how he dealt with them in the past.
They say feelings come from the heart. You know the heart is stronger than your brain and mind. So what comes from your heart moves you ahead. So they gathered to attend his funeral. When you want to speak, you speak out of your thoughts. So words come out of your mouth. When you want to do something, your mind, and brain processes some thoughts that manifest as your actions. So what you advise others and what you do to others don’t work on them long. They may forget you. But when you stir their emotions, then you make them love you. So they never forget you.

- Think good and do good to others.
- Help them when they need it.
- Inspire them with your deeds and words that stir them up. So you make them love you. As a result, they don’t forget you.
